What is The UMV Auxiliary?
The United Methodist Village Auxiliary is a service oriented and fund-securing organization composed of individuals throughout Southern Illinois who wish to express their love and concern for elders.
It is governed by a board composed of the Key Persons from each church or organization that desires to participate. At each quarterly meeting, requests for equipment/services are received from the various departments and acted upon by the Key Persons present. The Key person is the interpreter of the Village mission to their church or organization.
Yearly Dues are only $3.00.
Some purposes of the Auxiliary are:
1. To provide needed equipment, improve the appearance of resident rooms or public areas, and assist with projects, which enhance the resident’s recreational and educational opportunities.
2. To provide volunteers for daily services including spiritual services, staff for Gift Shops, sewing needs, birthday parties and special events.
3. To provide items for the annual bazaars and Spring Flings for both the South and North Campus.
4. To help promote all aspects of United Methodist Village Ministry.
