"Activities are not just a schedule of events...Activities are a way of life here at the North Campus"

Easter was a time of joyful celebration at the North Campus this year.  The residents celebrated all week by creating an Easter Craft, playing games and attending an Easter party.

One of games that was played was a scavenger hunt.  This sent two teams on a search through the building for pictures with instructions written on the back.  We had a fun time asking staff members and residents to sing, dance, or hop for us.  We had to talk someone in therapy to do the bunny hop.  We had to get someone in the kitchen to tell us what kind of meat is served on Easter, then they had to make that sound of the animal.  We then went to the activity area, where each team had to create an Easter bonnet and have a staff member to model it for us.  Here is Donna, such a beautiful model.

Another game we played had the residents divided into two teams again but this time the teams faced each other and they passed an Easter egg on a spoon to the person sitting beside them.  The competition for this game was fierce, as each team wanted to win.  It's a good thing real eggs weren't used because several eggs hit the floor.

We concluded the week with out Easter party.  Cupcakes and punch was served and while the residents ate, the activity staff asked trivia questions regarding the history of Easter.  The resident sang Easter songs and reminisced of Easters past.  All in all, the residents had a very "Hoppy" Easter.

Each month we have a calendar of events planned.  Stop by and see what is going on.

"All residents are admitted regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or ability to pay."
