Respite Care & Rehab-to-Home Program

Respite Care is a short term program where the primary caregiver of the senior family member needs a break (i.e. has another dependent ill or wants to take a vacation) but doesn't have someone to look after their elderly family member. If you are caring for a loved one and in need of a temporary break, The Village has an ideal solution. Our residence offers short-term stays of 7 days to 13 days.

Respite Care is ideal for seniors who require rehabilitative services, physical or occupational therapy, or for families who need short term assistance in caring for their loved ones. The Village has dedicated and caring staff that does everything possible to make Respite Care guests feel at home. While staying here they will have  daily activities, access to our salon, drink coffee in our courtyard, join in our theme days, and more! Just be prepared, they might not want to leave! Respite Care guests will feel that they too have had a vacation!

"My grandparents had lived in a facility and their care was nothing like my mother gets at The Village. We brought her in for rehab three days after we took her home, she wanted to know when she could go back! She wanted to make the Village her permanent home!” --Current resident’s daughter

Rehab-to-Home Program

The Rehab-to-Home Program benefits those who have been affected by different orthopedic conditions, neurological condtions, cardiac disease, spinal cord injuries, cancer, and more. The program can also benefit those who need pain management, or who have weakness after the flu, arthritis, or other medical problems. We provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, & speech therapy.

Our therapists use an interdisciplinary team treatment approach to help each  unique individual. Our thearapists understand that each of our residents is exceptional; because of this our licensed and registered professional work closely with the physicians to develop a personalized program that will build on each resident's own skills & goals.

The Rehab-to-Home Program speaks for itself. In 2010, 54% of our residents who came in for Rehab went home. The average stay was 29 days or less. In the first quarter of 2011, 60% of our residents went home after rehab with an average of a 28 day stayf or less.

Here at the Village, we focus on you getting better so you can go home!
