Services are Wednesday, at each campus, with the assistance of a volunteer. The United Methodist Village, Inc. is a non-profit Christian organization founded by the United Methodist Church; since it's inception in 1908, UMV staff has been motivated by a guiding spirit of compassion and Christian concern for the whole person - mind, body, and spirit.
We have a Chaplain on staff who visits with residents daily and provides prayer and encouragement for those who desire. Our Chaplain also visits our residents that are in the hospital. The Chaplain provides comfort and support for residents and their families in their time of need; our Chaplain also holds devotions every Tuesday and vesper services every Wednesday at each campus with the assistance of
volunteer pastors and clergy. We also hold services every Friday and Sunday. The Chaplain will also take time to visit with residents and will perform tasks upon request, such as going for a walk, help with combing their hair, etc.
We are blessed to have caring faithful Volunteers, who graciously give their time and talent to encourage and uplift our residents here at United Methodist Village.
Each campus has places of worship that are wheel-chair accessible, along with comfortable seating for all who attend. Our Chaplain and our faithful Volunteers provide many religious services weekly in keeping with our Lords command, "And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ "- Matthew 25:40 (ESV)
